RICHARD CORLISS
Since 1980, Corliss has written film reviews and many cover stories for “Time” magazine. Earlier, he edited the magazine, “Film Comment,” and wrote the important book, ‘Talking Pictures,” making an argument for the key roles of the screenwriter and screenwriting in the artistry of movies. ROGER EBERT

The best-known and probably best-loved American film critic, Ebert has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and, in 2009, was made an honorary life member of the Directors Guild of America. He’s written thousands of reviews for “The Chicago Sun-Times” since 1967, and, for 23 years, he co-hosted a popular television show with Gene Siskel devoted to film criticism. OWEN GLEIBERMAN
At age 22, Gleiberman graduated from reviewing for the college newspaper at the University of Michigan to, in 1981, writing for “The Boston Phoenix,” where he eventually became first-string critic. He has been a critic for “Entertainment Weekly” since the magazine began in 1990. He is also a reviewer for NY-1, New York’s 24-hour cable station.
