Michael Wilmington

A stage actor in college at the University of Wisconsin, where he wrote for the magazine, “The Velvet Light Trap,” Wilmington received early recognition for his 1974 book, “John Ford,” co-authored by Joseph McBride. Afterward, he was a film critic for “Isthmus,’ “The Los Angeles Times,” and, for many years, for “The Chicago Tribune.” A member of The National Society of Film Critics, Wilmington is currently a columnist for moviecitynews.com.
